Well, the last few days have been quite crazy and a few moments ago I collapsed in a heap and started balling my eyes out because I am so tired.
Thursday night was Baxter Under the Stars - I dusted off my year 12 drama log book and re-learnt my monologue in about 20 minutes. I was nervous, but this time it was a different kind of nervous. Usually, a room full or strangers, no problem, but performing infront of Baxter was a really freaky thought. I was the only person the be performing a theatre piece. I remember my hands being all sweaty and the familiar churn in my stomach. Once I stepped out from behind my whiteboard, I instantly felt the change in the room. It was wonderful. I am still getting compliments for my performance. It is a really, really good feeling to be recieving things like that again after such a long time.
Friday Night was Baxter Ball - Theme, Vintage Horror. I was one of the lucky ones to win a limo tour around Sydney, some free bottles of champayne, not to mention arriving at the Ball in style, and the envy of everyone else. I have never been in a limo before and I felt over the top fancy. Although we went for a tour of Sydney, and it was dark, it didn't matter. A smile was on my face and I felt beautiful. We cranked some sweet hiphop beats down Oxford Street and busted out some funk. Nick Levy and I got our groove on to "Brick House". Good times, I will always remember it. I wish I could have taken Becky as well. We stopped underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge and got some photos after a while. Quite fancy.
Once we arrived at the venue, I had to pick my jaw up off the ground when I looked out the window and saw the beautiful harbour. Sydney takes my breath away on an ordinary day, but this was amazing. The venue was oober fancy/classy and I'm pretty sure we had a $1,000 bond on the place. The band were awesome, some band from Queensland I think. They played funk/jazz/swing and a few covers. At 10pm, we vacated the Ball and made our way to the after party in the Cross - Where else?! There was abit of a cafuffle about drink prices and I think I remember someone paid $22 for a double vodka cranberry or something similar? Oh yes, we were all about the smoooooze and expensive taste this evening.
Today was recovery, so we headed down the Unibar, got some vodka and orangejuice, sat in the sun, chilled out to music and felt awesome. It reminded me so much of blackhead for some reason. I can't wait for Summer to come back :)

Also had a chat to a drag queen for performed to us and I will be ringing her later on to learn more about her life in drag.
Like I said before, I am getting tired. I think I am a little bit homesick. I miss nath, mum, dad, jess and my dogs. I might go home for a few days soon. Just need to get through my assignments. My nintendo has been a big help in getting me to relax, god bless it.
